Intellectual Property Bar Association
The Intellectual Property Bar Association (‘IPBA’), formerly called the Patent Bar Association, is the specialist bar association for barristers practising intellectual property law. Members of the IPBA carry out work in the whole range of intellectual property litigation, namely: patents, trade marks, copyright, registered and unregistered design rights, passing off and confidential information. Members of the IPBA also commonly advise in technically based commercial litigation and on areas of European law, especially regarding competition. Many members of the IPBA also have scientific qualifications.
