The Bar Council provides a wide range of services for the Bar and the wider legal community. These include eithical guidance for barristers on matters relating to the Code of Conduct, assistance collecting fees, conferences, training and discounted products and services.

The Bar Council provides a confidential guidance line for practising members of the Bar with pressing queries about the Code of Conduct. The Bar Council has a team of staff who are trained to handle ethical enquiries. Members of the team can be reached through the Ethical Queries Helpline: 020 7611 1307. The line is open from 09:15 to 17:15. Members of the team can also be contacted via email: Ethics@BarCouncil.org.uk. Barristers may also wish to refer to the extensive guidance section on this website. Please note that urgent calls are dealt with immediately.
