Equality and diversity helpline

The Bar Council offers a confidential equality and diversity helpline to all students and members of the Bar. The direct line telephone number is 020 7611 1310.

Additionally, the Equality and Diversity Adviser, Pamela Bhalla, and Equality and Diversity Officer, Angela Campbell, can provide assistance on the following topics:

• Implementing the Equality and Diversity Code, the maternity and parental leave guidelines in chambers
• Making reasonable adjustments and making chambers and services accessible to people with disabilities
• Implementing the AG and CPS Equality and Diversity Expectations Statements for chambers, and
• Confidential advice to members of the profession, staff and members of chambers, employed barristers, pupils and Bar students about any equality and diversity, parental leave or harassment issue.
