Conditional Fee Guidance
The Conditional Fee Guidance - available from the link above - was updated with effect from February 2006 to take account of the changes to the CFA regulatory regime.
In June 2008 paragraph 52(9) of the Guidance relating to mixed fee agreements was amended following a recent Court of Appeal decision.
Lord Justice Jackson Report
Jackson L.J.’s “Review of Civil Litigation Costs: Final Report” was released in mid January 2010. He recommends major changes to the current costs regime. The CFA Guidance which is posted on this website will be amended to reflect any changes to the current costs regime affecting barristers as and when any of Jackson L.J.’s recommendations are actually implemented. No major changes are anticipated in the short term. Some recommendations would require primary legislation and all would require further consultation before they could be implemented.
