  • 23 July 2015 - Bar Council Policy Analyst, Averil Sessions, guest blogs on the successful Young Barristers Wellbeing Seminar, which took place on 29 June. The seminar aimed to help members of the young Bar identify and deal with work-related stress and its often unwelcome consequences.

  • 9 July 2015 - Michael Jones, member of the Bar Council’s Young Barrister’s Committee, guest blogs for the Bar Council on the the Advocacy Training Council’s Advocate’s Gateway International Conference, which took place on 20 June 2015. The aim of the conference was addressing vulnerability within the justice system.

  • 14 May 2015 - Osman Osman of 25 Bedford Row gives his first-hand account of the recent Bar Council-led trade mission to Kazakhstan. In his guest blog, Osman highlights the opportunities for the England & Wales Bar of strengthening ties with the Central Asian country’s legal sector, including plans to diversify its already strong economy, but to jointly develop professional values and standards, and the rule of law.

  • 30 April 2015 - Janet Weeks, a practising barrister at 5 Paper Buildings, guest blogs for the Bar Council on mentoring senior lawyers from the Omani Public Prosecution (OPP) through the Bar Council's mentorship programme for Omani lawyers. The Bar Council, in collaboration with Beyond Borders, launched the new mentorship programme earlier this year.
