You can use the above links to download a copy of the application form for the purposes of applying for the BARMARK. Please complete and return this form to Natasha Foy at The Bar Council, 289-293 High Holborn, London WC1V 7HZ. Your attention is drawn specifically to the requirement for Heads of Chambers to get agreement from each tenant to enable the Bar Council to check that they have paid their insurance premiums with the BMIF and have up-to-date practising certificates. Chambers may decide that they wish to have a "previsit". This would enable chambers who are unsure if they are ready to undertake the full validation to have a visit by BSI to identify areas needing improvement. This will be charged at the normal daily rate (£645 + VAT) made payable to the British Standards Institution.
