Harassment Mediation Panel

The Bar Council has established a Harassment Mediation Panel. Its role is to advise those with complaints of harassment and seek to mediate between the complainant and alleged harasser in chambers. The mediation aims to achieve an end to the conduct complained of, without necessarily finding fault or blame and without the imposition of sanctions. The Mediation Panel can be contacted confidentially through the Equality and Diversity Advisers. Confidentiality will be guaranteed throughout any investigation, to the extent that it is practicable and appropriate under the circumstances. All complainants are safeguarded against victimisation in accordance with Para 305.1 of the Code of Conduct.
