Does One Size Fit All? Costs Rules and Chancery Litigation
Organised by the Chancery Bar Association
It’s Question Time! Here’s your opportunity to quiz a panel – and to make your own points – about the vexed issue of costs rules and their impact on access to justice with particular reference to Chancery litigation. Do the current rules unduly inhibit litigants from bringing good claims? Do they enhance access to justice by discouraging weak claims and defences? Is the Jackson Review likely to address adequately the particular problems of Chancery litigation and can any system cope with the wide variety of types of litigation and litigants that fall under that umbrella?
