For over 40 years the International Weekend has become celebrated for providing an opportunity for young lawyers from all over the world to gather in London for an educational and social conference and to enjoy the best that legal London has to offer.
This year’s event has been organised jointly by the Young Barristers’ Committee, the European Young Bar Association, the Junior Lawyers Division/Law Society and the London Young Lawyers’ Group. It will take place from Friday 26 September to Saturday 27 September and will coincide with the Opening of the Legal Year in England and Wales.
The programme includes:
Friday 26 September
- Presentation and lunch reception at Withers LLP
- Visit to Royal Courts of Justice and leading London Chambers
- Welcome Reception hosted by the Young Barristers’ Committee of the Bar Council of England & Wales
- Late night Drinks & Nibbles hosted by the London Young Lawyers Group at Parker McMillan
Saturday 27 September
- One-day Conference providing training in key practical areas for the leaders and members of Young Bar Associations on common organisational and legal issues
- Drinks reception at The Larder Restaurant followed by a 3-course meal
Eligibility:
The programme is open to barristers up to 10 years Call and solicitors up to 5 years PQE
Cost:
Full International Weekend Ticket = £160.00.
