Section 51 Hearings and Bail Hearings

Two issues have arisen in relation to fees payable in respect of hearings where an indictable only offence is sent for trial in the Crown Court, pursuant to section 51 of the Crime and Disorder Act 1998. A third issue has arisen in relation to remuneration for a hearing in respect of a breach of bail granted by the Crown Court. The advice and guidance from the Bar Council is available here.
