CPD points available at Access to the Bar [A2B] Day on 27th November
26 November 2008
The Access to the Bar Committee is organising a major day to promote direct access to the profession. The evening session at Weber Shandwich has been accredited with 2 CPD points.
The “Access to the Bar [A2B] Day”, which is being widely marketed, is aimed at consumers (and their representative groups), lawyers (as well as other professional people), politicians, judges, the media and other commentators
The findings of an important new research project into public access and licensed access will be unveiled by Professor John Flood (University of Westminster). Professor Flood will be looking at how the provision of legal services will change with the implementation of the Legal Services Act, and the increasing importance of direct access in the new developing legal landscape. Professor Flood is also interested in the experience for the consumer, both in terms of cost and ease of instructing members of the Bar.
There is no charge to attend any session in the day, and refreshments will be provided.
Full details on the day's programme are available here.
To sign up for any of the sessions, please email Rukaiya Bhegani.
