IMPORTANT - Joint Bar Council / CBA Response to the LSC VHCC Paper

The Chairmen of both the Bar Council and the Criminal Bar would like Members of the Bar to note the following:
- You will need to respond to the LSC VHCC paper by Monday 8 February
- You can respond by post, email or online, as set out on page 2 of the LSC paper
- If you respond online you will need to register if you have not already done so and then complete the paper

- We have posted on the Bar Council and CBA websites the joint Bar Council/CBA response.
- In summary, it says we cannot respond to the paper as it is linked to the MoJ paper and to an as yet unpublished paper on One case One Fee.
- We have not answered any of the consultation questions but have chosen to put the joint response in the comments in Part A and complete Part B that deals with GFS Plus
- You may respond to the paper in any way you choose.
- If you feel that you are unable to answer the questions you may adopt the approach of the joint response.
- If you choose to, you can simply adopt the wording of the joint response.
