Equality and Diversity Guidance
The Bar Council and BSB have developed a range of guides to
assist the profession in complying with the Equality &
Diversity Rules in the BSB Handbook.
A good place to start for guidance on complying with the BSB
rules is the BSB website.
Bar Council guides explain how to comply with the rules and
introduce ideas around good practice.
The Bar Council has teamed up with the Inns of Court and
Institute of Barristers' Clerks (IBC) to launch the Wellbeing at the Bar
Portal - a website to specifically provide support and
best practice to barristers, clerks and chambers on wellbeing and
mental health issues. See below for some of the Wellbeing resources
on specific issues:
||Guidance on the circumstances when the Regulator may need to be
involved and what you should be doing to best support an individual
who becomes unwell.
