The Employed Barristers' Committee is holding a seminar on Thursday 28 January 2016 in relation to money laundering. In this seminar, Alistair Webster QC and Austin Welch will consider how businesses can best protect themselves from liability under the money-laundering legislation.  Austin will explain the legal framework and then Alistair will look at practical steps which businesses can take and also what to do if it is suspected that there is a risk of being used by money-launderers.

Registration starts at 17:30 for a prompt 18:00 start. The seminar will last for 1 hour and will be followed afterwards by a drinks reception. The event will be accredited with 1 CPD hour.

 There will be a charge to attend:

  • £10 (incl VAT) for BPTC students

  • £30 + VAT for those who have paid the Bar Representation Fee (BRF)

  • £37 + VAT for those who have not paid the Bar Representation Fee
