The official Pupillage Fair is the only recruitment fair run by the Bar, for the Bar of the future. It forms an important part of the Bar Council’s strategic commitment to fair access and to a meritocratic culture, regardless of background.
Taking place in October of each year, the fair is free to attend for students and provides the opportunity to engage with members from across the profession and to discover more about their different modes, and areas, of practice.
The Pupillage Fair 2019
The most recent Pupillage Fair took place on Saturday 26 October 2019 and was kindly hosted by the Dickson Poon School of Law at King’s College London.
"I am very satisfied and am incredibly grateful for this event being organised; it has been most informative. The exhibitors were encouraging, and speaking to them has been the most valuable experience thus far."
Student feedback, 2019
The fair attracted over 800 students, each of whom had the opportunity to explore 80 exhibitor stands and to attend advisory sessions run by the Bar Council in conjunction with the Inns of Courts and Specialist Bar Associations.
