The Bar Council receives environmental excellence award

The Bar Council, which represents barristers in England and Wales, has received an award for environmental excellence for recycling and reducing CO2 emissions.
The award was presented by Carbon Smart on behalf of recycling contractor Paper Round to recognise the reduction in waste made before and during the Bar Council's office relocation programme.
During the period of 1 May 2013 to 30 April 2014, The Bar Council recycled a total of 44,910kg of paper and cardboard, reduced CO2 emissions by 62,720kg, and saved 534 trees.
The charity organisation Trees for Cities also received a donation as a result of this award.
