Bach Commission interim report - Bar Council response

Responding to the Bach Commission  interim report published today, Bar Council Chairman-Elect Andrew Langdon QC, said:

"The report's recommendations and assessment of the current state of affairs make an important contribution to the debate about how to improve access to justice.

"We support constructive proposals to make legal advice more readily available to those currently unable to obtain it.

"We will study the conclusions and proposals in more detail, and with interest, and we hope to contribute to the commission before publication of the final report."
