About the course

Are you a family practitioner or specialist fees clerk? Following the success of last year’s Legal Aid Billing seminar series, the Bar Council will once again be joining expert representatives from the Legal Aid Agency, specialist publicly-funded chambers and solicitors’ associations and firms to help you find out how to receive payments faster and reduce the risk of your fees being rejected.

Why attend?

This seminar will help you to:

  • Apply best practice in legal aid billing and reduce the chances of rejection;
  • Improve your day-to-day billing administration and quality control;
  • Reduce errors made in claim forms; and
  • Better understand how to effectively process Very High Cost Cases and payments on account.

Panel

This year’s Family Legal Aid Billing seminar panel will consist of:

  • Shiva Ancliffe, Barrister, Coram Chambers (Chair)
  • Robert Damiao, Senior Caseworker, Legal Aid Agency
  • Scott Baldwin, Senior Clerk, St Mary’s Chambers
  • Charlotte Flanders, Managing Director, Veritas Professionals
