About your chambers:

Harcourt is a thriving family law set with a rich tradition of attracting and developing the strongest emerging legal talent. It is home to six well-known family silks and two silks who are door tenants. With premises in the Temple and Oxford, Harcourt serves a wide geographical area: principally across London, the South East and the Midlands, but also further afield. This provides opportunities for a varied and progressive practice. Probationary tenants will be involved in the same career development opportunities and social events as other members of Chambers. Chambers is committed to equal opportunities and diversity in all its forms. This commitment is enshrined in our Equality and Diversity Policy published on Chambers’ website. In support of this commitment, Chambers are open to making any reasonable adjustments the candidate may require to participate in the selection process fairly. Chambers will assign the probationary tenant a mentor during their probationary tenancy. An application for full tenancy will be considered after an assessment of progress at the five month mark.

Chambers is looking for candidates who have a consistently excellent academic record, relevant experience of family law, good advocacy, communication and drafting skills, the inter-personal skills required to develop an independent practice at the bar and a commitment to contributing to Chambers . The candidate will be required to undertake the full range of Chambers’ work, with Chambers inviting applications from candidates who have a particular interest or experience in finance work.
