About your chambers:
Join the Family Team at KCH Barristers.
KCH Barristers invites applications from barristers and solicitors seeking to transfer to the Bar who wish to develop their family practice within a welcoming and supportive team.
We are one of the largest common law sets in the East Midlands, with offices in Leicester and Nottingham and practice groups covering Family, Civil, Crime and Regulatory work. Led by Head of Chambers Anna Soubry, chambers was pleased to welcome Phil Bradley KC as a member in summer 2026.
We are looking to strengthen our Family Team and are particularly keen to hear from practitioners with experience in one or more of the following areas:
Public and private children law;
Financial remedies;
Family Law Act applications, including non-molestation and occupation orders; and
Claims under the Trusts of Land and Appointment of Trustees Act 1996 (TOLATA).
We welcome applications from those seeking to build on an established practice, develop a particular specialism or take the next step in their career.
We warmly welcome applications from solicitors considering a move to the Bar. We recognise the valuable experience, practical insight and client care skills that solicitors bring, and would be pleased to discuss how we could support your transition into practice at KCH.
We value sound judgment, effective advocacy and a sensitive, practical approach to helping clients navigate family disputes. Equally, we value colleagues who enjoy being part of a team, sharing their experience and supporting one another in this demanding and rewarding area of practice.
Members may specialise in their preferred area of family practice, combine several areas, or maintain a practice across other disciplines, according to their interests and experience. There is no requirement to undertake work outside your chosen practice area.
If you are considering a move and would like to explore what KCH could offer you, we would be pleased to hear from you.
