About Landmark Chambers

Landmark Chambers is a leading London set, widely recognised as a market leader in Planning, Property, Environmental, Public, Local Government, and Rating and Valuation law. Our barristers are regularly instructed in many of the most significant and high-profile cases in these fields and Chambers is consistently recognised by the legal directories for excellence in advocacy and advisory work.

We strive to create a supportive, inclusive culture where everyone can thrive. We are committed to equality of opportunity and actively welcome applications from candidates from underrepresented backgrounds. Our building is fully accessible to wheelchair users and we are committed to making reasonable adjustments to support individual needs.

The Role

We invite applications for a probationary tenancy (formerly known as a ‘third six’) from candidates who have completed, or are about to complete, a 12-month pupillage. The probationary tenancy is structured to provide:

  • A guaranteed income of £37,500 over the six-month period
  • Substantial court work and written advocacy, alongside opportunities to assist in complex and high-profile Property cases
  • Supervision, mentoring and structured feedback, with a clear assessment framework
  • Strong prospects of tenancy at the end of the six-month period, subject to performance

This opportunity is designed as a pathway to full tenancy and we approach the recruitment process with the intention of identifying candidates who we anticipate will become permanent members of Chambers.

What We Are Looking For

We are looking for applicants who:

  • Have strong analytical, written and oral advocacy skills
  • Show a clear commitment to developing a practice in Property law
  • Are motivated, professional and collaborative
  • Will be ready to undertake advocacy and advisory work from the outset
