The Bar Council and openDemocracy, the independent media platform, have joined forces to publish a series of videos and articles documenting the real-life effects of legal aid cuts.

With the long-awaited Government review of LASPO due soon in 2019, this collection of short films includes first hand-accounts from those who have been directly impacted by legal aid cuts and shows exactly what happens when people are priced out of the justice system.

The collaborative project also includes interviews with MPs and professional front-line charity workers, with videos and articles addressing issues including inquests, custody disputes, disability rights and benefits, welfare law, homelessness, Windrush, and early legal advice.

The videos and articles are collated on the openDemocracy 'Voices for Justice' page.
