All barristers, clerks and all chambers’ staff.
What will I learn?
Once you’ve completed this course, you’ll:
- Understand harassment, bullying and inappropriate behaviours and how these behaviours present at the Bar
- Be able to identify behaviours that may breach the law, professional standards or chambers’ expectations
- Understand your reporting obligations to your regulator/others
- Know what to expect of your chambers, including their duty to prevent sexual harassment, as well as good practice in handling complaints
- Learn techniques for tackling harassment and bullying in the workplace, including safe bystander interventions
- Know how to access confidential support and advice
After the course
- You’ll recognise inappropriate behaviours
- You’ll understand your responsibility to tackle harassment and bullying at the Bar as well as when and how to report (either to your regulator or chambers/organisation)
- You’ll know how to intervene safely if you witness harassment and bullying behaviour
- You’ll know where to access confidential support and advice
- You’ll receive a tailored workbook designed to reinforce your learning and support your development
