Join our database of arbitrators, mediators and experts

Barristers who join our databases may be appointed by the Chair of the Bar to act as arbitrator, mediator or expert determinator.

To join you need to:

  • Have a current practising certificate
  • Provide evidence that you are appropriately qualified as an arbitrator or mediator and/or are a member of the relevant bodies

There are two databases you can join:

  • For barristers willing to act on a pro bono basis and for disputes arising in chambers only
  • For barristers who wish to charge their usual commercial rates and happy to be appointed by the Chair of the Bar in any type of dispute

To join, complete the participant form and return it to our Services Team at [email protected].
