We're looking for barristers who can serve as ambassadors and engage in rich and meaningful dialogue about shared challenges and opportunities among the global profession. This is a great opportunity for barristers exploring their practice in East Africa, to liaise with 7 national bars in a dynamic region.
You can also join us in Kenya for our business development visit from 18 to 21 November 2025.
We will be hosting a panel discussion on the new Council of Europe Convention on the Protection of the Profession of Lawyer and its value in a world where lawyers and legal institutions are under threat. We're looking for speakers with a demonstrable interest in the African continent, rule of law issues, international dispute resolution or public law.
If you're interested in speaking at the EALS conference, or joining our delegation at the conference, please complete the form below.
Funding for international visits
Please note that all costs related to attendance, including travel, accommodation and meals, must be covered by delegates themselves.
If you are a barrister with up to 7 years of post-qualified experience (PQE), then you could be eligible to apply for part-funding to enable you to participate in international events, activities and programmes such as this through our international professional and legal development grant programme.
