Arbitrations

Occasionally disputes can arise in Chambers and the Bar Council provides a free arbitration and conciliation service to subscribers to assist in resolving these issues. Click here for further information.


BarCo Services

BarCo was set up by The General Council of the Bar in 2000 to provide barristers, clerks, chambers support staff, and in some cases, their families and associates, with access to a range of high quality products and services that offer value for money and are tailored for the Bar community. Bar Council Handbook

The Bar Handbook is a new annual publication from the Bar Council with Lexis Nexis Butterworths.  For the first time, it brings together all the Bar Council’s current guidance and advice, ordered and contextualised by the authors, in a single point of reference. 


BARMARK

BARMARK indicates that chambers comply with the Bar Council's Practice Management Standards and Guidelines. This Kitemark, which is regularly reviewed, sets standards of best practice for administering chambers. Click here for further information.
