Bar Council Training Scheme for Senior Chinese Lawyers

Unlocking Disputes

Our first bespoke International Dispute Resolution training for Senior Chinese lawyers will be running from 3 - 7 June 2019.

The SLTS is a new scheme, separate from the long-running Bar Council Training Scheme for Chinese Lawyers. The SLTS is an intensive week-long programme aimed at more senior lawyers, at Partner or Senior Associate level. There has been considerable competition for the 14 places on offer and the calibre of lawyers attending is high and there is now an opportunity for chambers to host a seminar for leading Chinese litigation/arbitration lawyers.

2019 Chambers Application Process now CLOSED

How to apply

The International Committee is seeking barristers' chambers willing to host a group of 14 Chinese lawyers for a seminar or workshop, on one of the topics listed in the tables below, during the week of 3-7 June 2019.

Chambers interested in hosting must be in the commercial field, do dispute resolution and have an international element to their practice. We would also urge participating chambers to factor in gender balance whilst identifying session instructors.

If you are interested in hosting a seminar, please complete the 2019 SLTS Chambers Application Application Form and send it to Lesley Orero at LOrero@BarCouncil.org.uk by 17:00 on Friday 17 May 2019
