Chris Daw QC undertook a criminal pupillage in Manchester, and now practises mostly in London. He developed a serious crime and fraud practice, now in silk, solely for private high net worth, insured and corporate clients.

Daw QC has been a pupil supervisor for the past 5 years for a full 12 month pupillage.

As an approachable, down to earth, accessible and patient barrister, he is happy to offer a flexible level of support as the individual requires. He splits his time between London and Manchester so could mentor in either city.

Daw QC comes from a working class/state school background, and is acutely conscious of how much more difficult it is to succeed at the Bar, and in particular, to achieve silk without a private/public school education. He feels that he could most usefully assist someone from a state school background, as it is this group which is severely underrepresented in silk.

As a recent and successful (first time) silk applicant, he believes he can offer up-to-date and relevant mentoring at any stage of a silk application, including those who may be several years away from applying.
